I say no. 'The WORD OF GOD" is greater than ALL the sermons of Bro. William Marrion Branham (WMB). Or I may say that the "WORD OF GOD" is greater that ALL the sermons of ALL ministers who have come into this planet Earth throughout the ages. Because the Full WORD OF GOD is the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Bro. Branham had only a "measure" of the WORD OF GOD. Equating Bro. Branham to the Lord Jesus Christ is a blasphemy.
The equation WORD OF GOD = WMB's Sermons is wrong.
The right equation should be: WORD OF GOD > WMB's Sermons.
I believe that The Word of God is more than sermons by the prophet. I also believe that the Word of God is scriptural and hence anything that i believe must be scriptural.
I have differed with brethren who equate every quote in the sermons of WMB sermons as the Word of God. I always desire to have scriptural prove of the validity of any qoute i get.
I have been critised for not believing quotes without scriptural background.
This is what made me start this discussion.
I also do believe that a revelation is based on a scripture(s) that was not understood but now divinely revealed.
The prophet himself said that where there is a question there must be an answer. If its a scriptural question there must be a scriptural answer to it.
God bless you all
As far as i know the Word of God comes only to the prophet ,not to the pastor, evangelist or any other member of the five fold ministry.Ephesians 4 11and 12 speaks of the five fold ministry and the prophet said Ephesians types Joshua.Joshua the prophet said types the Holy spirit.Joshua was the new leader and yet refferred to ALL that Moses said.Daniel learnt by books ; the books of the prophet Jeremiah.the scripture says that Baruch read the Words of Jeremiah the prophet in the assembly of the congregation.A message sermon to me is a sermon about the message.i may be interpreting it wrong however If i have a message for someone and i pass it to someone else to deliver my message unless they say Jonathan said..... then my message is not delivered. If they chooze to 'talk' about my message the reciever WILL get a corrupted message. So for me the Word of God is the Bible as well as the revealed Word as spoken by the prophet.the Prophet preached the Bible.and that is the word of God.
Yes ministers have their place and can be used mightily by the Holy Ghost. However there is no new message that they can deliver to God's Bride. The word for the age came to Bro Branham and he alone can interpret what the scriptures meant noone else because the word comes to the Prophet and him alone.I jus want to know what he said.My eternal destination rests on that. And Beyond the curtain of Time the Bride cried "we are resting on what you said " and i am identified in that.
Bro Branham said that Joshua and Caleb stayed with Moses regardless if he was right or wrong.Miriam and Aaron said" has not the lord also spoken by us?"Miriam was struck with leprosy because they disrespected God and his vindicated prophet. Its not our Businesss to question whether all wasnt inspired or some was inspired.God wouldnt lead his Bride into confusion.Allwehave to do is cast away all reasoning and simply believe and obey the message.God has got to honour that. And it is God who was using his prohet he was just a vessel he was not God himself.
In discussing baout your question, try notto add or bring more new word/ terms beacuse as we increase more terms/ words, the tendency is to increase more term of references and definitons and personal opinions and more detail explaiantions are needed to explain and discuss more , while the first question will be lost in this process. English words/terms are just as limited as hebrews/greeks or any language on earth to explain your question.
Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.
Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.
She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'
Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.
Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.
Was that important? Absolutely!
Is it really significant? Yes!
In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.
When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.
The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the
master was finished.
Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.
The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.
But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because..... .....
God's present living elements of true worshippers around the world are indeed and in fact the "written word" revealing to the present world . Whether anyone believe this present revelation of God thru His worshippers or not will not make Him a leeser Living God.
In the beginning, The Creator-God never meant His words to be written but He Speaks and the spoken words from His lips will never return to Him void, but accomplish according to His intentions, all thiese is just to glorify Himself.
Then, instead of listening and obey, Lord God has to have His words written down to be a witness of Himself.
Faith comes by hearing the word of God, not so much as by reading the sermons or the Bible for that matter. People have mistaken the tree for the forest? Or making amountain out of a mole hill?
Many are still debating about "WORD" , an English term for LOGOS? Logos and dabar are not the same, right?

To me the difference is "The Word Of God" is my Absolute. The sermons of Bro. Branham are ALL inspired but not all "Thus Saith The Lord". The Message of the hour is a witness of a Revelation I can recieve, if you can understand that. It is also the restoration of the Original Gospel that Paul, Peter, John etc preached. Bro Branham always points us back to The Word. The Message shouldn't be our Absolute because what about the "inspired" mistakes in it & where Bro. Branham also slightly changes what he says in it on same subjects. One good example is in "the spoken word is the original seed" and the Seven Church Age book. Bro Branham says that the Holy Spirit told him to pick up his pen & write. they slightly vary. So, which one is Absolute? if you catch my point.
yes, only the Word of God is our Absolute... the Message of Bro. Branham always point us back to the Bible - the Word of God..
Bro. Branham is a prophet for this generation, a Star Messenger in this age... and we respect him, we respect the gift, we respect the Message... but still, the Lord Jesus Christ - the Word is the Absolute.
The Word of God includes things in the Bible such as in Revelations that were not revealed to us through William Branham. Furthermore, early Message sermons contain conjecture that Brother Branham specifically told us was such (for example, when he first taught the 7 Church Ages. The most important thing to remember is, "This is My beloved Son. Hear ye Him." We were given the five-fold ministry for a reason as well. Lastly, I wonder how people would respond in these last days if God sent His fifth Elijah to the Gentiles with the Seven Thunders before sending him and Moses to the 144,000? This is just a thought that I have wondered about for years. I do not make it doctrine or call it prophecy.
The Bereans went and searched the Scriptures although Paul was present as a prophet and the disciples who walked with Jesus were there also. We must do the same when we listen to Message sermons. I may be criticized for what I am about to say, but I believe that the Word comes to the Lord's teachers as well as the prophets. Otherwise, what is it that a teacher is teaching as a master of the Word and where does the Word come from That he is teaching? If something other than the Word is coming to a teacher of the Word, what is coming to him? What? Came the Word out from him? or to him only?
