If only we saw the fundamental simplicities of life with undiseased vision,
we should see that the highest of all success,
and the truest of all self-fulfilment,
is to know God's will,
and get into it,
and stay in it to its complete outworking.

"The human heart, at whatever age, opens only to the heart that opens in return," stated Maria Edgeworth, a 19th-century writer. And certainly we have each experienced, from others or within ourselves, a closed heart. It is difficult to remain open because of the trust that is required from both sides. This element of trust we must have toward our fellow man is an important lesson and challenge we all face. Our life is built on trust in many small ways. Opening up to someone is one way to practi…

More Beautiful
David A. Curtman Jr.
7 a.m. 10/10/2009
1.
When I look up in the night, and see the stars in the sky,
I see the work of someone much bigger than you or I,
And I’m amazed by the beauty of the lights that are shone.
By His works and by His wonders, He makes Himself known.
2.
And see the lofty mountains, their peaks rising so high,
The work of Heavenly Hands, I behold with mine eye,
I often stop and wonder, “What am I compared to this?”
But we were made more beautiful, to enjoy His…

Sometimes when God tells you something, you have to listen to what He didn’t say to really get a hold of what He said. For instance, when God says to someone who’s down and out, “I want to use you for my glory,” God is telling him, “I’ve lifted you up,” because God can’t use him for His glory while he’s still down and out, broke and in debt. He’d have to come out first, and the only way the man can know God has lifted him is to prove the Word that was spoken to him.
If he used to be a complaine…

for my feet; Lord give me steady feet strong enough to follow your trails up to the end.
for my knees; that will ONLY fold down to worship YOU the one true God of all creations.
for my hands; that will lift up to praise in songs and prayers.
heart; that is filled with your holy spirit to guide me in my day to day existence.
enduring heart to keep the covenant, warm to melt the glaciers in my life, to love with divine purpose...
head;Lord make me use my brain in things that are delightful and will…

Again I am posting a note that I posted on FB on here.
The Rapture Is a Revelation
Hello Friends. I thought I would share on the Rapture today. I know if there is a bible question there must be a bible answer. We read from some that the rapture has taken place, that we are in the 3rd coming of Christ and that we are already in the millennium. Now surely if there is a bible question they will surely be a bible answer. We pray by the grace of God that the truth is revealed to us. We know that in…

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him (Hebrews 10:38).
In 1 Kings 17:1, the Bible tells us how the Prophet Elijah shut the clouds and prevented rain from falling upon the earth: “As surely as GOD lives, the God of Israel before whom I stand in obedient service, the next years are going to see a total drought – not a drop of dew or rain unless I say otherwise” (MSG). but then, James 5:17 lets us know that Elijah’s statement above wasn’t…

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).
One of the most common definitions of grace than many people are acquainted with is that grace means “unmerited favour.” But you’ll realize that this definition doesn’t cover all that grace is when you understand the Word and the Spirit’s communication.
Unmerited favour is what every sinner who comes to Christ…

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11).
Joy is a product of the recreated human spirit. Some people haven’t understood the power of a joyful and merry heart; otherwise, they’ll always let the joy of the Lord that’s in their spirit gain the mastery. It’s possible to experience indescribable joy everyday.
Our opening scripture says, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of…

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16 AMP).
The scripture above talks about the kind of prayer that produces results; it is earnest, heartfelt and continued. It’s the kind of prayer that involves your emotions and all of your being – you put yourself into the praying. It’s not a casual exercise but a serious-minded endeavour, intense, wit a singleness of purpose, such that you aren’t distracted by anyth…

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit… (John 15:5).
In Matthew 7:20 (TLB) Jesus said the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit produced. As a child of God, you’re required to keep bearing fruits – the right fruits. This is because you’ve been called into a life of productivity, and so, barrenness, stagnation and failure of any kind are not part of your life.
The same way an apple tree can be identified b…

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
As a child of God, you’re called, not to obey the Word but to do it. These two thoughts may sound similar but they’re very different. You’ll only have to obey the Word if you had a different life or nature apart from the Word. Now that you’re born again, you’re born of the Word (1 Peter 1:23), therefore you have the nature of the Word whic…

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17).
Though somewhat synonymous, and sometimes interchangeably used, the words: truth and fact are however very different. A fact is the assertion of verified information about something that exists or has happened. While truth, on the hand, is reality beyond the facts.
According to the scriptures, the Word of God is truth – reality. Many have defined truth as the opposite of a lie, but in God’s realm truth is not merely the opposite…

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).
Some people have the erroneous belief that there’re certain people whom God specially favours and blesses, and such people are the ones called of God into a life of greatness. Well, not when you’re born again, for God chose all of us – His kids to be great, and desires to use each one of us mightily in our own unique ways to fulfill His purpose in the earth.
Ever…

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory (Colossians 3:4).
In his letter to the church in Galatia, the great apostle Paul in Galatians 2:20 declared: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” This is one of the greatest revelations of the new creation – the “you” that existed before, c…

What should we say? Should we keep on sinning, so that God\'s wonderful kindness will show up even better? No, we should not! If we are dead to sin, how can we go on sinning? Don\'t you know that all who share in Christ Jesus by being baptized also share in his death? When we were baptized, we died and were buried with Christ. We were baptized, so that we would live a new life, as Christ was raised to life by the glory of God the Father.
If we shared in Jesus\' death by being baptized, we will…

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again (Luke 6:38).
In many places, people get excited when they hear messages on receiving: how to receive increased finances, how to receive increased blessings, how to ‘possess their possessions; etc. But once you start teaching them that the secret of receiving is giving, the place ge…

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (1 John 3:2).
Sometimes, out of ignorance, and a seeming show of humility, some Christians pray to God saying: “we're nothing in thy sight”, or you’ll hear “were but dung before thee.” What a terrible act of self devaluation! The reason such folks talk like is because of their ignorance of the scriptures! I would to God the…

Below is one of the notes I wrote on my FB. I just thought I would share it here.
FAITH IS THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY 1
I have to continue sharing. I know probably the majority do not care about these notes. But I am like a shepherd. I am not concerned about the 99 sheep that I have but going after the one lost sheep. I am encouraged by a few discussions I have heard with people I never thought would even know there is God. I am pleasantly surprised by those people. Those I expect to receive it ar…
